So here's me bemoaning having to work on a Saturday whilst the world and its Givenchy clad mother are out suckling at the juicy fruit of London Fashion Week when, low and behold, Fashion Week falls on my lap right in the middle of a nine hour shift involving little more than hanging A LOT of clothes. Win.
This might all seem a bit cryptic thus far but I'm talking about the lush lushness of the YSL Manifesto pack which, as with last season, was delivered to the streets of London (in my case a heaving Kings Road) for all and sundry to nab with great glee.
Featuring full size, double sided posters of the latest collection shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin I'm already in a pickle about which of Natalia Vodianova's kick ass poses are worthy of the prime 'face-out' and which are heartbreakingly relegated to spending the next few weeks pouting close range at the concrete of my bedroom walls.
Regardless, every shot is a winner and there's even some token menswear in there huddled amongst the pinks and blues, thank you very much Mr Stefano Pilati.
Over the course of today around 500,000 of the packs will have been handed out in cities from New York to Tokyo with the first lucky few thousand getting a specially designed tote bag to cart their spoils home in. For that I was too slow. Dang.
Now to find me some blu-tack...
